"Come to the edge." "We can't, we're afraid." "Come the the edge." "We can't. We will fall." "Come to the edge." And they came. And he pushed them. And they flew. -Guillame Apollinaire

Goodbye Asia
It's 10pm November 15th, and in a few hours we start our more than 24 hour journey to Marrakech.
From Singapore we fly to Istanbul (12 hrs), then to Milan (3 hrs), then to Casablanca (3 hrs), then, with luck, we'll get ourselves on a train (3hrs) to Marrakesh, just in time for dinner at the riad we found and booked just last night.
Whooo! After a good few weeks of R&R we are back in the game. Michael is 100% and we're ready for a whole new continent, culture, and cuisine.
We spent the last two days being pamperd by Val's family in Singapore, seeing aunts and uncles and granparents and cousins for the last time, running errands and checking in with doctors (Uncle Sal seems to have packed up and gone). It's Christmas is Singapore! Since Singaporeans do not celebrate Thanksgiving, all the Christmas decorations are already up. Orchard Road is swaddled in gold and red decorations and Christmas marketing is in full swing. And it's 80 degrees out. Still, it feels no less festive than if it were snowing.
Los Dos Chamorros have been fattened up by stubborn aunts who refuse to let us pay for anything. The after-meal-fight-for-the-check is a time worn Chinese custom. We are so grateful, as much as we doth protest. Good food, great company, lots of love and attention. We already miss all of them dearly.
Goodbye South East Asia.
